OPP Seeking Marine Student

WAWA, ON – The Superior East Wawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be seeking applicants for the position of “Marine Assistant”. This opportunity is designed for students who are interested in a law enforcement career.
The purpose of this summer opportunity is to gain a working knowledge of one of the segments within a law enforcement environment. The student will learn about marine safety, related legislation and marine maintenance. Students will work closely with trained OPP marine operators. The OPP is looking for an individual who is professional, motivated and fit.

The following are some of the minimum requirements for the position of Marine Student:
- Minimum age of 18 years, to a maximum age of 24.
- Minimum G2 Drivers Licence
- Pleasure Craft Operators Card (PCOC)
- First Aid/CPR
Strong Swimmer – Excellent Communication Skills – Boating Experience – Professional Appearance are all assets for this job opportunity.
