In Junior Boys Basketball the Marathon High School Falcons thumped Hornepayne High School and beat the Manitouwadge High School Wolverines 44-35 in the championship game. The team from Manitouwadge beat the upstart Vikings 46-36.

In Senior Boys Basketball the host Chevaliers topped the Marathon Falcons before falling to the defending champs from Manitouwadge 68-54. The Wolverines will host the NorWOSSA winner next week.

In Junior Girls Volleyball, the Marathon Falcons fell to the Wolverines in 5 sets. Trillium and HHS battled for the bronze.

The Senior Girls Volleyball finals were also outstanding. The Falcons suprised the hometown Vikings 25-23, 16-25, 15-8. The Wolverines beat a very skilled Trillium squad 25-15, 25-20.The finals saw the Wolverines and the Falcons battle for the 5th time this season. Marathon won the first two sets 26-24, 25-22, before the Wolverines fought back to win 25-16, 25-21, 15-12.

The Wolverines will head west to play the winner of the Saints and Voyageurs or Winterhawks.
