OPEN LETTER TO SELECTED ONTARIO MPs and MLAs
26 January 2015
The Ontario Energy Board is inviting public input on the Energy East pipeline proposal. The two documents cited below have been forwarded to the Board.
One document (Report on Public Meeting by Ontario Energy Board on Energy East Pipeline Proposal ‐ Valhalla Inn, Thunder Bay, ON, 14 January 2015, 6:00 p.m. ‐ 9:30 p.m,) is a published news article. The other (TCPL PROPOSES, NATURE DISPOSES is a personal essay posted on my blog.
I am sharing these documents with all federal Members of Parliament and all Members of the Provincial Legislative Assembly who have constituencies in Northern Ontario and along the pipeline route in Ontario.
I believe that the issues raised by citizens in this consultation process are so grave and so far-reaching that you, as an elected official, have a duty to become fully informed about them, and to consult the voters in your constituency.
I would appreciate feedback from you.
Respectfully submitted,
Edgar J. Lavoie, Citizen
Greenstone, Ontario
