MANITOUWADGE, ON – What a busy week at Manitouwadge Public School as our students and staff had an impressive line up of activities and educational events to lead them into the 2014 Christmas Break.
Every morning MPS staff and students were joined by family, friends, and the staff and students of both the Manitouwadge Nursery School and École Publique Franco-Manitou, in the gym for ½ hour to sing Christmas carols before going to the library to enjoy a quick hot chocolate. A big ‘thank you’ to Mr. and Mrs. Minty for donating their time to lead everyone in the caroling.
Tuesday we had parents and friends join us for our annual Christmas Concert and afternoon activities. Wednesday the Student Council organized a delicious bake sale that proved to be one of two fattening events for the week. The other belly filling event was a hot delicious turkey lunch that the MPS Parent Council organized and hosted for the students and staff. Thank you so much to the ladies who worked so hard to make the luncheon a delicious, and memorable, event. Friday morning, after caroling, we had a surprise visit from the gentleman in red, Mr. Santa Claus himself, who handed out treats to all of the students.
We’d like to thank all those who went the extra mile to make yet another week an enjoyable one at Manitouwadge Public School.
