MP Bruce Hyer Continues The #Nuclear Waste Debate

hyer-nuclearthubdecNORTHWESTERN ONTARIO – The video below is Part 2 of OntarioNewsNorth.com’s conversation with Thunder Bay-Superior North MP and Green Party Deputy-Leader Bruce Hyer on the final evening of his Northwestern Ontario visit in November.

Hyer travelled the region hosting Town Hall meetings in many communities including Thunder Bay, Nakina, Geraldton, Longlac, Schreiber, and Manitouwadge seeking to hear from constituents regarding the Nuclear Waste Management Organization’s Learn More process from the perspective of those residing in participating towns and those in neighbouring communities.

In Part 2 of our conversation with Mr. Hyer (CLICK HERE for Part 1) he raises some important questions including whether transporting used nuclear fuel to communities he describes as ‘weak politically’ is the best choice for long-term storage, whether used nuclear fuel should be stored away from where it was created and from where he believes the associated economic benefits were reaped.

Let your opinion be heard; after watching the video, comment below on the questions raised by Mr. Hyer or add any questions you think are being forgotten in the #NuclearWasteDebate.
