The team of Mateo Orrantia, André Charbonneau, William Pelletier and Aidan Linde captured the gold medal, while the team of Savannah Buhr, Alain Beaulieu, Patrick Blanch and Connor Newbery picked up a bronze medal. In this competition, the students had to design and build a boat and were evaluated according to various criteria such as the watercraft’s construction, efficiency and durability. The students were accompanied by teacher Julie Cyr and parent Bernard Beaulieu.
This competition is organized by Compétences/Skills Canada, a national not-for-profit organisation which actively promotes the career opportunities that specialized trades and technologies can offer to young people.
