The students and staff of St. Martin School belong to an organization called the Holy Childhood Association. This is a worldwide Mission club which began in 1843 and was set up especially for children. The motto for the Canadian section is “Children Helping Children”. This is a global circle of children where all are expected to help where they can to assist those in need around them.
Our Advent fundraiser is “Holy Childhood Day” which was held on November 28th. This is a festival of fun and excitement. All students, staff. families and friends of St. Martin School and Ecole Catholique Franco Terrace gather in the gym for an afternoon of face painting, popcorn, juice, baking, games and draws and much more. With the most expensive item being 50 cents, we raised just over $600, which will be sent to the Holy Childhood. We are amazed each year at the response to this event and we eagerly look forward to it each year. Everyone’s thoughtful efforts are greatly appreciated.
