Crime Stoppers and the OPP are asking for your help in solving several incidents of Thefts, Mischief and Break and Enters that occurred in Municipality of Shuniah.
Sometime between the 22nd and 23rd of October 2014 several crimes occurred including a stolen vehicle, a smashed glass patio door and several mischiefs. It appeared the culprits found what they were looking for when they stole a 2014 white Lincoln SUV and took it for a joy ride from the Municipality of Shuniah to the Municipality of Neebing where it was located abandoned on Hwy 61.
The unknown suspect(s) also stole jewelry, loose change, a decoration riffle that is inoperable and caused thousands of dollars in damages smashing windows and ransacking camps.
The suspects targeted vehicles and camps on Lakeshore Drive, Sunrise Beach Rd, Ishkibbible Beach Rd, Grandview Beach, Alder Rd, and Silver Harbour Dr. In total fifteen incidents were reported to the police.
