WAWA, ON – Dr. David Eden, acting Regional Supervising Coroner for the North Region Sudbury office announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Dominic Bernard.
Mr. Bernard, age 35 years, died on April 30, 2013, from injuries received during the course of his employment at a mining site near White River. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.
The inquest will examine the events surrounding Mr. Bernard’s death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
The inquest is expected to last two days and to hear from approximately eight witnesses.
