MANITOUWADGE, ON – ‘Lest We Forget’ became an important motto for our students and staff on this very important Remembrance Day.
Our students and staff were pleased to be able to take part in the local ceremony with others from the community. We marched in the procession to the cenotaph and then on to the Recreation Centre for the laying of wreaths in memory of those very brave and never-to-be-forgotten men and women who fought for our freedom so many long years ago.
Helping young people remember and understand the sacrifices that give us the privileges of our free country, will remain with them throughout their lives – therefore impress upon them the true meaning of ‘Lest We Forget’.
