WAWA, ON – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Wawa Detachment is currently investigating a series of mischiefs committed throughout the community overnight on October 11, 2014. Suspects approached resident property then continuously knocked on the doors before running away.
The victimized locations included numerous residences on Third Ave.
- Anyone found committing such act can be charged with Mischief which is a Criminal Offence under section 430 Criminal Code of Canada.
- The penalty for Mischief is: Guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years, or guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction.
