SAULT STE.MARIE, ON – Spreading the warmth – that’s the goal of the 19th Annual CTV Coats for Kids Campaign with the help of community supporters and students from St. Basil Secondary School and St. Mary’s College.
An annual sponsored program for the past 19 years, Coats for Kids provides infants, children, teens as well as adults with gently used winter jackets and snowsuits, boots and other suitable outerwear. The program began when it became clear that children of all ages were struggling through cold, northern winters without the proper clothing to keep them warm.
The following community supporters are currently collecting gently used winter jackets, snowsuits, boots and outerwear until Friday, October 24, 2014.
Drop off locations are as follows:
- Fountain Tire
- Algoma Financial Group
- Skeggs
- Paciocco Law Firm
- Floreani
- O’Toole Orthodontists
- Great Lakes Honda
- Jon’s Medicine Shoppe
- Feet First
- Steelton Shoes
Garment distribution for families in need takes place at St. Basil Secondary School, 250 St. George’s Avenue East on Saturday, November 1 from 10 am to 1 pm for this year’s Coats for Kids program.
