Nipigon Electoral Results
NIPIGON, ON – Voter turn-out in Nipigon was less than ideal with only 490 of the eligible 1,342 voters exorcising their democratic rights to cast their vote. Mayor Richard Harvey had already been acclaimed to office however, 4 councillors were to be chosen, from the 7 who put their name in the hat, to sit at the council table with Harvey.
Councillor Levina Collins will continue to represent Nipigon as will James Foulds and Gordon Mackenzie, rounding off Nipigon’s Town Council is Michael Elliot. Elliot is the only one of Nipigon’s 4 Councillors who didn’t serve on the previous council. Congratulations to Nipigon’s “new” town council.
