Here’s hoping that everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving! Now that the big feast is out of the way (with plenty of leftovers to follow), it’s time to put your feet up and treat yourself to a relaxing movie night. Perhaps one of this week’s new releases may be of interest.
There are eight new titles in total headlined by the latest installment in the X-Men franchise: Days of Future Past. Below is a brief synopsis for each of the new movies;

Hellion: starring Aaron Paul and Juliette Lewis – Thirteen-year-old Jacob’s increasingly delinquent behavior forces CPS to place his little brother Wes with his aunt. Fargo Season 1: starring Billy Bob Thornton – The complete first season of the TV series focusing on a drifter who arrives in small-town Minnesota and influences the population with his malice and violence. (DVD)
Penny Dreadful Season 1: starring Josh Hartnett – The complete first season of the TV series following Explorer Sir Malcolm Murray, American gunslinger Ethan Chandler, and others as they unite to combat supernatural threats in Victorian London. (DVD)
Mystery Road: starring Hugo Weaving – An indigenous detective returns to the Outback to investigate the mysterious murder of a young girl. (Crime/Mystery) (DVD)
Knight Rusty: A very special knight must save the magical kingdom where he lives by redeeming his knightly honor. (Kids) (DVD)

Evil Within: While investigating the scene of a gruesome mass murder, a detective and his team encounter a mysterious and powerful force. After witnessing the slaughter of fellow officers, the detective is ambushed and knocked unconscious. When he awakens, he finds himself in a deranged world where hideous creatures wonder among the dead. Available to rent or buy for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
INDEPENDENT VIDEO STORE DAY
I’ve been hyping and promoting it for a few weeks now, but the dig day is finally upon us. Please join us this Saturday, October 18th, for our International Independent Video Store Day (VSD) celebrations. VSD is a day set aside to recognize independently owned Video Stores around the world and the importance that they continue to serve to their communities’ culture and economy.
Crossover Video and Games, will be celebrating with sales, coupons, $1 Gallery Rentals, FREE Samples and a draw for a Kobo E-Reader! This day is also a chance for us (the staff) to thank our wonderful customers for your continued support! The celebrations take place all day (11am-11pm).
