Supporting Economic Development in Wauzhushk Onigum Nation
Ontario Strengthening Local Economy, Creating Jobs
Ontario is helping the Wauzhushk Onigum Nation move forward on its plans to establish a community development centre that will support local economic growth and create nine jobs.

With a $490,000 investment from the province’s Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation(NOHFC), the centre will provide a flexible and adaptable environment that can accommodate both short- and long-term community and economic development activities, including leasable space for businesses and professionals, and a versatile space for meetings and events.

Working with First Nations partners to build economic opportunities is part of the government’s plan to invest in people, build modern infrastructure and support a dynamic and innovative business climate.
