Rainfall Warnings In Effect For Some Northshore/Greenstone Communities

Rainfall warning in effect for:
- Geraldton – Longlac – Caramat
- Manitouwadge – Hornepayne
- Marathon – Schreiber
- Wawa – Pukaskwa Park
- White River – Dubreuilville
- Agawa – Lake Superior Park
Rain, at times heavy, is expected.
A low pressure system over the southern Plains will track northeastward toward the Great Lakes tonight and Wednesday.
Rain, at times heavy, associated with the low will affect the Geraldton and Marathon regions tonight and Wednesday, then taper off Wednesday evening. Elsewhere, the bulk of the rain will begin Wednesday morning and taper off early Thursday.
Rainfall amounts near 50 mm are expected in most parts of the regions with a few locally higher amounts possible.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
