MANITOUWADGE, ON – This week our students and staff were honored to be able to remember a very important individual in our Canadian history. They gathered outside our school and walked in memory of Terry Fox – a man whose perseverance and compassion left a legacy that has, and will continue to leave, an inspiration to children, teenagers and adults worldwide.
We would like to give recognition to three young children in our school (Taya, Miah and River) who every year, along with their parents and grandparents, go way beyond ‘the extra mile’ to raise a phenomenal amount of money for this Terry Fox Foundation. This year was no exception for them and they came to school with a whopping $1081.75!!!!
Congratulations to all of the students who participated in this very worthwhile and compassionate fundraiser! Way to go students and staff of Manitouwadge Public School!
