Exploring coconuts at MPS. Photos MPS
MANITOUWADGE, ON – Our littlest people at Manitouwadge Public School have been adjusting to the daily routine of school exceptionally well. It’s easy to do this in Mrs. Schleier’s class – especially when they have so much fun learning about the great big world outside of Manitouwadge.
The students’ learning adventure began when they ‘found’ a coconut under their very own, and very realistic, palm tree. After they spent some time predicting what might be inside this unusual round thing, they experimented with a variety of kindergarten-safe tools to open it. Lo and behold what they discovered was a very familiar drink – milk! Even though there wasn’t enough milk in one little coconut for everyone to have a sip, they did enjoy some pre-prepared from the store.
The students had a great time figuring out exactly what they were dealing with. Photos MPS
