Forest Fire Situation Update Northwest Region
There were no new forest fires confirmed by the afternoon of September 11. Fort Frances District Fire Number 17 has been declared out. There are no active fires in the Northwest Region. The degree of concern for fire behaviour is low across the region.
All Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry personnel on assignment in British Columbia have returned to Ontario. This marks the end of all personnel deployments out of the province.
Ontario also provided power pumps, values protection units, portable relay tanks and 10,000 thousand lengths of hose to British Columbia. This equipment is expected to be in British Columbia for several weeks to come.

Report forest fires in the Northwest Region and the Northeast Region (for areas north of the French and Mattawa Rivers) by dialing 310-FIRE (3473). Southern region forest fires can be reported by calling the local fire department.
