UPDATE: Marathon OPP Lay Charges – Suspect Still Missing
MARATHON, ON – The Marathon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to look for a male involved in a dispute August 31, 2014. Upon arriving at the call for service, police learned that the male left the residence and may be armed. Police resources are currently in Marathon, Ontario to assist local detachment members with the search. Some of these include officers of the OPP North West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the OPP North West Region Canine Unit who continue to conduct a search of the area.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Bobby CHARBONNEAU a 26 year old male of Marathon. He has been charged with the following offences:
- Assault
- Forcible Confinement
- Overcome Resistance by Attempting to Choke, Suffocate or Strangle another Person
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Mischief
The OPP is seeking the public’s assistance in locating this male. He is described as Caucasian, tall, with a thin build and short dark hair and was last seen wearing dark colored clothing.
