Investigation led to the arrest of a 16-year-old youth, the recovered motor vehicle and it’s content were returned to it’s owner.
The accused stands charged with the following offences:
- Two counts of Theft Under $5,000 contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
- One count of Dangerous Operation contrary to section 249(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
- One count of Mischief contrary to section 430(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
. One count of Resist Arrest contrary to section 129(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The youth was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in Chapleau, Ontario at the Youth Court of Justice on October 15, 2014.
CHAPLEAU, ON – August 6, 2014 at 2:30 pm, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Chapleau Detachment responded to a theft of motor vehicle incident from a local address.
