Ontario Reaches Deal with NFMC to Take Over Road Maintenance
THUNDER BAY, ON – Today, MPP Michael Gravelle was pleased to announce that after several months of hard work and strong advocacy, Caramat Road will once again be open to public traffic as of tomorrow, Friday August 8, 2014.
The Ontario government has entered into an agreement with the Nawiinginokiima Forest Management Corporation (NFMC) for it to begin maintenance of the full Road.

I’d like to thank the Nawiinginokiima Forest Management Corporation, Ministers Murray and Del Duca as well as everyone who helped to make this agreement possible. This 93-kilometre road is an important access route between Manitouwadge and the community of Caramat, located in the municipality of Greenstone.
