The National Spelling Bee is an event that has seemingly grown in popularity over the years. With national media coverage and a hefty cheque on the line, kids from all across North America dust off their dictionaries in preparation for their chance at victory while competing against kids who are the same age as they are. But what would happen if there was a loophole? One that would allow a grown man to enter into the competition? In “Bad Words”, this week’s headline new release, 40 year old Guy Trilby (played by Jason Bateman) finds and exploits that loophole to gain entry into the “Golden Quill” spelling bee. What follows is hilarity as Trilby stops short of nothing in his quest to reach the final round of the competition- but not for the reason that some may think.

In the Name of the King 3: starring Dominic Purcell – A modern-day assassin is hired for one final job – to kidnap the kids of a local businessman. Raid 2: Only a short time after the first raid, Rama goes undercover with the thugs of Jakarta and plans to bring down the syndicate and uncover the corruption within his police force. (Action) (DVD)
Run: starring William Moseley and Eric Roberts – A street smart 17-year-old uses Parkour in order to steal goods and supplies to provide for him and his Dad. (Action) (DVD)
Nymphomaniac: starring Shia LaBeouf – Volume 1 and 2- A self-diagnosed nymphomaniac recounts her erotic experiences to the man who saved her after a beating. (Drama)

MARATHON TRANSFORMERS MARATHON
Thursday, July 3rd, Marathon Theatre and Crossover Video and Games began a series that we’ve dubbed the “Countdown to Extinction”. Transformers Age of Extinction plays at Marathon Theatre from August 3rd to 9th. In order to get caught up on all of the Transformers movies before “Age of Extinction” plays, we’ll be showing each of the first 3 Transformers movies at the Theatre! Cost is only 2.50 per person!
