MANITOUWADGE, ON – Recently Manitouwadge Public School’s Student Council spearheaded a very humanitarian venture. The council organized a ‘Dime Wars’ challenge.
The challenge involved MPS Student Council members placing a jar in each classroom for students and staff to fill with their spare dimes. The jars were collected, contents counted, and the total – an impressive $70.58 – was donated to the Manitouwadge Humane Society.
In the past, MPS students have often shown kindness for people who are less fortunate, recently they pooled their efforts – and change, for animals in need.
This heart-warming gesture will go a long way towards the children becoming compassionate adults in our society. Well done everyone!
