Stephen’s Story – A Hero Passes
From CBC’s NATIONAL: A terminally ill British teenager who raised millions of dollars for charity has died at the age of 19. Stephen Sutton was diagnosed with terminal cancer four years ago, and drew up a bucket list. He achieved 34 of his 46 goals.

“Hello everyone! I’m 18 years old and in the last three years I have been fighting cancerous tumours in my bowel, knee, groin and pelvis. I have had to undergo surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy- all resulting in me spending a lot of time in hospital! Medical opinion has ranged from me requiring an amputation to now instead being incurable. This means that realistically I’m facing a very uncertain, and probably very limited, future.
Originally all I ever wanted to do was study hard and make a difference to the world by becoming a doctor, however in light of my current circumstances I have decided to be more pragmatic with my time. This will involve utilizing as many short term opportunities as possible to enrich my own life experience and most importantly to try and improve the lives of others by fundraising and raising awareness of cancer in teenagers and young adults.

Now exams are finished with I’ve written a list of things I want to achieve this year, with a large a number of things being for charity. By following and sharing my story you can help me raise funds and also raise awareness of cancer in teenagers and young adults. Thank you!”

45) Try breathing in xenon or sulphur dioxid eand talking (has the opposite effect of helium)
