MCAG 2014 Share the Care Fundraiser Well Supported
MANITOUWADGE, ON – The 2014 Share the Care 5km Walk & BBQ fundraiser organized by the Manitouwadge Cancer Assistance Group (MCAG) was held Saturday, May 10th with the help of the Manitouwadge Volunteer Firefighters and many, more than 120, residents. An incredible total of $7,255.15 was raised through the event which is one of the MCAG’s major, annual fundraisers.
In addition to all those who came out to show their support on Saturday by making donations and/or buying delicious BBQ’d lunch, a number of groups and individuals worked diligently in the weeks preceeding the event, canvassing for donations and sponsors, among them were:

‘Special thanks to our wonderful Manitouwadge Volunteer Firefighters who ran the BBQ fundraiser for us – along with the Baril family for the donation of the BBQ!” said Jackie Jung volunteer with the MCAG. The MCAG also thanked their ‘extra’ helpers: Elaine, Angel, Ethan and Barb at the Rec for their help on Saturday as well as the events media sponsors, OntarioNewsNorth.com and The Echo.
CONGRATULATIONS to the volunteers of the Manitouwadge Cancer Assistance Group (MCAG) and all those who came together to support this very important cause, it is because of your generosity and efforts that those in our community fighting cancer continue to have the MCAG to turn to during their battle.
