WAWA, ON – April 13, 2014 at 12:30 am officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Wawa Detachment were conducting RIDE checks at the intersection of Main Street and Broadway Avenue in the town of Wawa.
A Dodge Ram pickup truck approached the check and investigation by the officer led to the arrest of the driver, 42 year old James BENNETT of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.
The accused stands charged with Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Wawa Ontario Court of Justice on May 12, 2014.
