This week, the Nuclear Waste Management Organization had open houses taking place in Schreiber (March 6 and 7) and Pays Plat First Nation (March 8). We spoke to Mayor Don McArthur about the open houses, why it is important for people to attend regardless of if they have previously and how the Township of Schreiber is reaching out to its neighbours along the Northshore and in the Municipality of Greenstone in regards to learning more about the NWMO and Schreiber participating in learning more about the potential to become the host for a deep geological repository.
