North Stars Midget Girls 2 For 2

The Schreiber North Star Midget Girls improved their tournament record to 2 wins in as many starts this season.

Our girls played in the 14^th Annual Kathy Sanders Memorial Girls Hockey Tournament in Dryden over the weekend of January 10 – 12^th. In addition to the North Stars, teams attended the tournament from Thunder Bay, Fort Frances, and Dryden.

They battled their way through a 7 team  round robin with a record of 3 wins and 1 loss to finish up in 2^nd place over all and a guaranteed spot in the final on Sunday morning against the 1^st place Dryden Clippers who they defeated  by a score of 6-3 to win the tournament.

Congratulations girls on  another great effort and a job well done.

• This season, the North Stars Midget Girls hockey team includes players from Schreiber, Terrace Bay, Marathon, Dubreuilville, Longlac, Geraldton and Nipigon.
