A new year, a new month and new movies! January 2014 is jam packed with Award nominated titles including The Butler and Captain Phillips. Runner Runner: starring Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake– After a college student loses his savings on an online poker site, he travels to Costa Rica to confront the site’s developer. Surprisingly he is given a job with the company and his life is turned upside down as he becomes tangled in a web of lies and corruption. Closed Circuit: starring Eric Bana and Rebecca Hall – A high-profile terrorism case unexpectedly brings together two ex-lovers on the defense team – testing the limits of their loyalties and placing their lives in jeopardy. Angel of the Skies: During WW2, a pilot’s plane shot down by enemy troops. Now along with a crew of men, he must make his way to safety- through enemy territory. (War/Action) (DVD)

Lifeguard: starring Kristen Bell – A former valedictorian quits her high-paying job in New York and returns to the place she last felt happy: her childhood home in Connecticut. There she finds work as a lifeguard and enters into a relationship with a young man half her age. (Drama) (DVD)
Tiger Eyes: After a young lady’s father is killed in a hold-up, she, along with her mother and younger brother visit relatives in New Mexico. Here she is befriended by a young man who helps her find the strength to carry on and conquer her fears. (Drama) (DVD)
