NORTH OF SUPERIOR COUNSELLING PROGRAMS ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO – The Board of Directors for the North of Superior Counselling Programs (NOSP) announced the appointment of Shannon Cormier as Executive Director for their Agency effective December 9, 2013.
Originally from Manitouwadge, Shannon has lived, worked and advocated for small semi-isolated communities in Northwestern Ontario and other parts of Western Canada. Shannon brings over nineteen years of demonstrated experience and specialization in community/social development, strategic planning, project management, dispute resolution, and clinical management for mental health/crisis counselling.
With a solid combination of experience and education including degrees in Social Work and Outdoor Recreation and current enrollment for MA in Peace and Conflict studies, Shannon brings the experience and expertise to meet the district challenges through a proven record of operational service, team building, financial management and creation of innovative partnership collaborations.
Under the executive leadership of Shannon Cormier, North of Superior Counselling Programs is embarking upon a very exciting new journey of
growth and development. Together there is a great deal we will be able to accomplish to ensure our employees, clients and communities are well
served.
