Dear Editor
Please accept this letter as my avenue to inform the snowmobiling fraternity that the remaining monetary assets of the Manitou Sno Drifters have been returned to the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) as required under the terms and conditions of membership in the OFSC.
The Manitou Sno Drifters were removed from the OFSC about 3 years ago due to the lack of permits sold and the inability to maintain the standards required of members. We were not alone in this respect and ultimately District 16 was dissolved.
All of the physical assets such as the groomers, drags, parts, and other equipment were returned or reallocated to neighbouring clubs during the last 3 years.
Although the Corporation of the Manitou Sno Drifters Inc. still exists it is no longer affiliated with the OFSC.
If there are any questions regarding this issue or if there is an interest in resurrecting the club as a social club only please contact Mr. Ron Jung. Manitouwadge, Ontario 807 826 4800.
