TERRACE BAY, ON – Mr. George (Jody) Davis was officially sworn in as Mayor in Terrace Bay on Monday November 18, 2013. Jody has been a Municipal Councillor in Terrace Bay for 7 years. He has served on numerous committees in the Terrace Bay region and is the Chair of the Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area’s Interim Management Board. During his swearing in ceremony, the Council chambers were filled with friends and family wishing him well.
Previous Mayor Michael King resigned from Council on October 30th citing irreconcilable differences. Council decided to fill the vacant Mayor’s position by nominating a Councillor. Council will now accept letters of interest from the public to fill the vacant Councillor position. For more information, visit www.terracebay.ca/councillor.
