Panthers Ladies Bake Sale Raises Funds For Cancer Assistance

MANITOUWADGE, ON – Saturday, November 23, the annual Manitouwadge Craft & Gift Show was held at the recreation centre. Among those with tables and goods for sale were the Manitouwadge Panthers ladies’ hockey team who were fundraising for themselves and the Manitouwadge Cancer Assistance Group; proceeds to be shared 75% for the MCAG and 25% to the Panthers’ equipment fund.
Panther Faye Locke had this to say via Facebook “What a amazing turn out at the panthers bake sale table , not one item went unsold . Thank you Sharie Byrnes- Fudge for all of your help. [Also], a big thank you to the Manitouwadge Cancer Assistance Group ladies for donating baked goods , thank you Panther Girls; Ghislaine Gervais, Jordan Britt, Chelsea Proulx, and Karly Baker. We appreciate all of your efforts. We donated over 75% of the proceeds ( $265.00) to the Manitouwadge Cancer Assistance Group” said Locke, feeling wonderful about the success of the fundraiser and their contribution to the MCAG.
The Manitouwadge Cancer Assistance Group also expressed much gratitude “Thank you so much to the wonderful Panther Hockey ladies for their wonderful generosity and kind hearts in donating to The Manitouwadge Cancer Assistance Group. The smiles on their faces tell it all. Thanks to all our supporters also for the baking donations and for those in the community that supported the bake table.” said MCAG executive.
