Among the compliments from those attending: the generous serving sizes provided. It was obvious the ladies were confident in the quantities of food prepared and rightly so as those who were interested were encouraged to return for seconds. Photos OntarioNewsNorth.com

MANITOUWADGE, ON – Saturday, October 5th 150 residents attended the Fall Feast, a fundraiser for Our Lady of Lourdes Parish by local members of the Catholic Womens’ Society.  The supper was held in the church basement which was decorated with a festive fall theme.

Attendees raved about the turkey dinner which included all the traditional Thanksgiving supper trimmings; mashed potatoes, mashed turnip, mixed vegetables, gravy, stuffing, fresh dinner rolls/buns and of course for desert a plethora of pies from chocolate to lemon, apple to blueberry and all flavours between.

The fundraiser was very successful with everything needed having been donated in large part by the CWS ladies, with assistance also coming from parishioners. The ladies also recognized the support of local business person Jim Moffat.

A big thank you goes out to all those who worked diligently to make the supper an incredible – delicious – success and to all those who supported these efforts by purchasing tickets to attend. Fundraisers support a number of projects including the ongoing general expenses of the parish.
