GREENSTONE, ON – Greenstone Historical Society welcomes all Greenstone residents and visitors to attend a General Meeting on Wednesday, October 30th, at Geraldton Public Library. The outside door to the meeting room will be open by 6:45 pm, meeting starts at 7pm.
The Board of Directors will be conducting their meeting with ample time allowed for input from the attendees. Subjects on the agenda include an update on the Ukrainian Church/Museum [CLICK for details], the status of the Municipal Cultural Plan, and Phase 1 of the Historical Photo Digitization Project.
There will also be a showing of a now-historical film shot in this region. The Forest in Crisis, 20 minutes long, features scenes and residents from Beardmore.
Suggestions will be welcomed about how this fledgling organization should proceed in future.
Greenstone Historical Society is mandated to serve all residents and communities in Greenstone with the intention to collaborate with all existing historical groups and museums in the municipality.
