DRIVER CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED White River
WHITE RIVER, ON – The Superior East Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) White River Detachment were advised of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 631 on Sunday September 29, 2013 at 10:50 am. Upon speaking with the driver of the 2005 Pontiac Grand Am the OPP officer detected an odour of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath. After failing a roadside breath test, the driver, 35-year-old Kurtis MINTENKO of Thunder Bay was arrested and escorted to the OPP Detachment for further breath tests.
As a result the accused stands charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana. The accused is scheduled to appear in Wawa Criminal Court on November 4, 2013.
