Nearly twelve years ago, the folks at Pixar brought to life a pair of friendly monsters who were just as scared of children as the children were of them. Mike and Sully were the goofy and fluffy monsters featured in Monsters Inc., where they ran a business generating power for their city of Monstropolis. But how could a pair of laughable monsters get into a business like this you ask? Well it took until now for us to find out. In this week’s headline new release, we travel back in time to when Mike and Sully first meet; at Monsters University! Find out how they overcame their differences to not only go into business together, but to become the best of friends! Monsters University is one of five new releases debuting this week. Here is a brief synopsis of each title;

NEW DVD RELEASES & TRAILERS

Monsters University: featuring the voices of Billy Crystal and John Goodman– A few years before Monsters Inc. Mike and Sulley were “scaring majors” at the same university. R.I.P.D.: starring Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges and Mary-Louise Parker– A police officer awakens in unfamiliar surroundings only to be told that he is actually dead. Recruited by the Rest In Peace Department, the officer embarks on a mission with his new partner to find the person responsible for his death. Down the Shore: starring James Gandolfini and Famke Janssen– The lives of three childhood friends living on the Jersey Shore begin to unravel when a secret from their past is revealed. (Drama) (DVD)

Molly Maxwell: starring Lola Tash and Charlie Carrick- At an exclusive progressive school, a young lady makes every effort possible to keep to herself- until she meets her new English teacher. As their relationship becomes more intimate, she begins to emerge from her shell while trying to avoid alienating her loved ones. (Drama) (DVD)

Byzantium: starring Gemma Arterton and Saorise Ronan– Two mysterious women seek refuge in a run-down coastal resort where they befriend a pair of local men. Soon after, it is discovered that the woman survive on human blood- a secret that proves to have deadly consequences. Battlefield 4: This game offers a wide range of unique multiplayer experiences with vast and distinct maps, thrilling game modes and dynamic destruction which will ensure that no two games will be the same. In single player mode you will be put in the boots of US Marine Sgt. Daniel Recker, member of the Tombstone squad. Against the backdrop of a global conflict between US, Russia and China, you’ll engage in combat on foot and by operating land, sea and air units. Assassins Creed IV Black Flag: Stand among legendary pirates such as Blackbeard, Calico Jack and Benjamin Hornigold, as you establish a lawless republic in the Bahamas and relive the truly explosive events that defined the Golden Age of Pirates. Explore 50 unique locations where you can live the life of a pirate. Players can also captain and customize your own ship, search for lost treasure, hunt rare animals and loot underwater shipwrecks. Christmas Extravaganza
