WAWA, ON – September 8, 2013 the Superior East Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised that a 25-year-old male from Sault Ste. Marie was lost on the Orphan Lake Trail in Lake Superior Provincial Park. The call was received shortly after 8:00 pm. The male had been hiking the trail with two others and became separated during the hike. The other two arrived at the parking lot and contacted OPP for assistance.
The OPP Emergency Response Team was called to the scene to search for the male. Just after midnight the male was located in good health and was escorted back to his hiking party.
