MANITOUWADGE, ON – Saturday, September 21, 2013 the owners of Manitouwadge’s Select Inn hotel, Chaagan and Daxa Mistry, hosted their Grand Opening welcoming residents, business owners and others from the community to join in their celebration.
Among those in attendance were Maniouwadge Mayor John MacEachern, Superior North CFDC General Manager Anne-Marie Bourgeault, Manitouwadge Economic Development Assistant Karen Robinson and members of the local EDC many of these addressing the Owners, and those attending, to underline the importance of Manitouwadge finally having a hotel operating after approximately 6yrs of B&Bs, vacation homes and similar accommodation alternatives being the only choices available to visitors to the community.
Owners Chaagan and Daxa Mistry have chosen to open only 12 of the 24 rooms in the hotel for the time being though they are hoping to also have a continental breakfast lounge, exercise facility and conference room opened in the near future.
Congratulations to the Mistry’s on this new endeavour, wishing them much success in the years to come!
