MATTAWAN TWP., ON – September 25, 2013 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) North Bay Drug Enforcement Unit supported by the members of the North East Regional Support Team (NERST) and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant at a Mattawan Township property.

As a result of the investigation an outdoor cannabis marihuana growing operation was located.  Seven cannabis marihuana plants and a quantity of cannabis marihuana were seized during the investigation.   Three individuals was arrested and charged.  The charged individuals were released on a Promise to Appear and scheduled to attend court in North Bay on November 13, 2013.

The street value of the drugs seized is $33500.00.

Joseph CHICQUEN age 58, of Mattawan Township

• Production of Cannabis Marihuana  contrary to section 7(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Donelda RENAUD age 54, of Mattawan Township

• Production of Cannabis Marihuana  contrary to section 7(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
• Possession of Cannabis Marihuana contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Andre TREMBLAY age 28, of Mattawa

• Possession of Cannabis Marihuana  contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
