North Shore Secondary School Athletic Association
NIPIGON , ON – The first sport of the North Shore Secondary School Athletic Association (NSSSAA) 2013-2014 season began in earnest this week in Nipigon as golfers from around the Northshore headed to Nipigon to participate in the league championship.
Nipigon Red Rock District High School Coach Erin Langevin was out on the Northshore Golf Course bring and early this morning, welcoming defending champs Marathon High School and their challengers.
Winners from NSSSAA won’t have far to travel to NWOSSAA – Geraldton Composite High School will play host to teams from NorWOSSA and SSSAA on September 26th.

A little confused by all these accronyms… Here is some clarification:
- NorWOSSAA is: North Western Ontario Secondary Schools Athletic Association
- NSSSAA is North Shore Secondary Schools Athletic Association
- SSSAA is Superior Secondary Schools Association)
NWOSSAA this is where things can become a little confusing as this also stands for North Western Ontario Secondary Schools Athletic Associations (very similar to NorWOSSAA) but is where the best from the three aforementioned athletic associations (NorWOSSAA, NSSSAA and SSSAA) compete against each other.
OFSAA is the provincial level of competition Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations.
