MANITOUWADGE, ON – The Township of Manitouwadge Community Services Department is pleased to provide the community with two new initiatives for the 2013-14 Fall/Winter Programming Season.
Local high school student Sydney Courtemanche is working with the Community Services Department to instruct dance classes for children ages 3-12. Sydney attended Dance Training this past summer in Winnipeg and has previous experience from her program last year with Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School, which taught children dance techniques and routines to perform at a dance recital.
Secondly, there will be an ‘All Sorts of Sports League’ for residents ages 19+. This will be an 8 week league with 8 different sports played. Included are Badminton, Beachball Volleyball, Soccer, Floor Hockey, Dodgeball, Benchball, Horseshoes and Ladderball [From Editor: Ladderball AKA Newfie Golf]. The Community Services Department looks forward to offering these programs and watching the fun unfold.
