MARATHON ON – Saturday August 10, 2013 around 1:00 pm two males were paddling along the shore of Pukaskwa National Park on Lake Superior and entering the mouth of the White River when their canoe cap-sized. One male managed to get to shore however the other male was swept away by the current.
The male that drowned has been identified as Erhard FRENZL, 73 years old, from Kingston Ontario.
The male was wearing a personal floatation device at the time the canoe cap-sized.
