NIPIGON, ON – Saturday August 3, 2013 at approximately 9:45 p.m. members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Nipigon detachment had opportunity to speak to the driver of an off road motorcycle at Airport Road, Terrace Bay Township. After speaking to the driver officers determined that the driver had been drinking. As a result, the driver was arrested and returned to the Schreiber OPP detachment for further investigation.
The 55 year old male driver, Jeffrey BERST, of Shuniah, Ontario has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 milligrams of Blood Alcohol content contrary to the Criminal Code. The male is to appear in Nipigon Court on October 10, 2013 to answer to these charges.
