GERALDTON, ON – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Greenstone Detachment is looking for the public’s assistance with an investigation into a house fire.
On May 25, 2013 at approximately 3:30am, officers at the Greenstone OPP Detachment were on patrol in Geraldton when they came upon a house engulfed in flames on Third Avenue South East.
The Geraldton Fire Department attended the scene and extinguished the fire. It was determined that the home was abandoned and that there was no one inside when police arrived.
This fire is being treated as suspicious. OPP Greenstone request that any member of the public with information regarding this or any other occurrence contact the Provincial Communications Center (PCC) at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) for person’s who wish to remain anonymous.
