MARATHON ON – Saturday April 27, 2013 at approximately 11:00 am, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Marathon detachment observed an eastbound dark blue pickup truck driving in an erratic manner on Highway 17 in the vicinity of Rouse Lake, approximately 5 km west of the gold mines. The vehicle was swerving into on-coming traffic in an attempt to force other vehicles off the highway before the driver lost control and crashed into the ditch.
The OPP are continuing to investigate the incident and are requesting any motorist with information pertaining to this incident to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
