Canada Day celebrations at Science North appeal to a family audience while offering high quality, family-friendly experiences, on-site food services and entertainment activities culminating with a fireworks extravaganza at dusk after the main stage entertainment show.

Preference will be given to interactive vendors who sell a product or service that enhances audience participation and complements the overall event plan.

For example: an artist creating and selling caricatures, amusement activities, and vendors encouraging audience participation. All activities must be family-friendly, properly supervised and operated in a safe manner.

Food vendors are invited to express interest where their offerings are considered to complement the Science North on-site food businesses, including vendors of sweets, sandwiches and French fries.

Preference will be given to vendors that are self-supporting. Provision of hydro is subject to availability and there is an additional fee. Additional details will be provided on confirmation within a formalized vendor agreement.

The fee is $350 plus HST for a standard set-up operating during the hours of 12 pm  to 11 pm. The fee is $150 plus HST for non-profit organizations selling merchandise, $50 for not-for-profits providing information about their organization along with a family-friendly activity approved by Science North.

In order to be considered by Science North, potential vendors must submit a vendor application with payment information. This form is found on the Science North website at sciencenorth.ca/application. Applications should be sent by email to: clausen@sciencenorth.ca no later than May 6th 2013.
