CROSSOVER INSIDER REVIEW

In the late 1940’s, Mickey Cohen and his gang of ruthless thugs held the city of Los Angeles in its grips. Using power and intimation, they ran a number of illegal businesses throughout the city while paying cops and judges to stay out of their way. Gangster Squad, new on DVD and Blu-Ray this week, is the True Story of a police chief and a brave group of cops and vigilantes who band together in an attempt to take down Mickey Cohen and release the city of Los Angeles from their hold. Gangster Squad headlines a head with ten New Releases in total. Below is a brief synopsis of each of this week’s new releases;

The Impossible: starring Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor – The incredible True Story of a families attempt to survive and reconnect after a Tsunami hits their beach side resort while on vacation in Thailand. 4:44 Last Day on Earth: starring Willem Dafoe – A glimpse into the lives of a couple as they face their final days knowing that the world is about to end. (Drama/Sci-Fi) (DVD)

Haunting in Connecticut 2: starring Chad Michael Murray – A young family moves into a historic home in Georgia, only to learn that the house is haunted by a force looking to bring down anything- or anyone in its path. (Horror) (DVD and Blu-Ray)

Cheech and Chong the Animated Movie– Cheech and Chong are back in their first ever full-length animated movie! (Comedy) (DVD)
