MARATHON ON – Friday March 22, 2013 at approximately 6:45 pm, an officer from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Marathon detachment stopped a Pontiac Sunfire at a R.I.D.E program. The officer became suspicious of the driver and upon further questioning arrested the driver for possession of a controlled substance. A search of the driver revealed that he had an illegal knife in the waistband of his pants.
Brandon TESSIER, 18, from Terrace Bay, Ontario was charged with possession of a controlled substance, unauthorized possession of an illegal weapon and carrying a concealed weapon. TESSIER was released from custody with an appearance date of May 30, 2013 in Marathon court.
